The Spring housing season has begun!

The holidays are becoming a distant memory. The groundhog came out and made his prediction. The Superbowl has been won. So what’s next? Valentine’s Day? Yes, except for people who are ready to buy or sell a home. If that’s the case, it’s their time to make the next move! Many sellers have already begun preparing their homes for market, and many buyers have been tightening up their laces… errr… finances. And I’m available to help on either side of the playing field!

So tell me: Who do you know who’s talking about real estate? Whatever the question, I’ve got answers! I always have time for your referrals! Common seller inquiries include wanting to know the value of their home, how much work to put into their home before putting it on the market, and how to handle the transition from one home to the next. If it’s any of those, something more specific, or something way different, I can help, and I have a track record of going the extra mile for my clients.

And yes, the local residential rental market is already off to a great start, too! St. Patrick’s Day is when I historically see the major shift from casual rental inquiries to OMG! I NEED A PLACE NOW. In fact, I have already closed the books on a busy rental month! So for folks whose leases expire on March 31st (or sooner!!), here’s a list of options:

o – Renew the lease! If a tenant wants to stay, and a lease renewal has not been presented, renters should contact their landlord and request that. If the lease renewal includes a rent increase, at least they hopefully have time now to make a calm decision.

o – Find a new rental! Maybe there is a rent increase coming up that is out of budget. Maybe the apartment is too small or big but is otherwise fine. Maybe laundry in unit, or parking, or welcoming to pets, or something else is really needed. Maybe the area doesn’t quite make sense. Tenants can always ask their landlord if another rental will be coming up that meets their needs. Otherwise, I can certainly offer to help with finding a new place!

o – Consider buying! They say folks don’t get what they don’t ask for, so if paying a mortgage makes more sense than paying rent, then call me to get some free info! I know lenders who work with lots of different situations: First time buyers who need extra assistance, there is minimal stores in terms of a down payment available, the credit is less than stellar, etc. I’m here to help!

So wherever you are in your housing journey, I wish you the best of luck. Thanks again, and I look forward to working with you soon!
