Did you know…? April, 2020

Entrance to the Nature Center

Surprise! It’s the North Park Nature Center, part of Chicago’s North Park Village; once upon a time, it was “the largest municipal sanatorium in the country”. With the scary stuff going on right now, I thought it would be nice to share some of our history that has become something beautiful.

At least all the snow from this morning has melted!
Hoping to see the leaves on the trees soon enough!

Did you know I do residential sales and leasing, and I can help you find a great home, investment property, buyer, or tenant? My current listings are on my website! And if I can’t help you personally, did you know I can refer you to a fellow REALTOR® anywhere across the country? If you have a real estate-related question, I make it my mission to get it answered!

For your information…
I’ve been busy digging up information to help you, too! Check out my most recent posts on mortgage forbearance and working with your landlords. Also, many of you have discovered my other videos since the pandemic started on getting by and helping each other. View my YouTube channel.

Also, yes, the Drop N’ Swap event for WINGS Program was of course cancelled. However, they saw my video from Friday (4/10/2020), and they followed up with me on a voicemail about the cancelled event. Said they can accept the closet of donations I had collected for seeding (gotta have stuff to swap for the first arrivals, after all!). Said while their resale shops are closed, they still need items for the women and children (including teens, don’t forget!) who they provide shelter for. So at least they’ll be put to good use now instead of sitting in a closet for who knows how long!

So very happy to share the news!

If you are sheltering in place with your abuser, please know I do care about you. WINGS has a hotline to call! 847-221-5680

Here’s another piece of trivia:
The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District was formed due to a terrible cholera epidemic. The first solution was reversing the flow of the Chicago River! They’ve since been cleaning up the river and taking on several green initiatives!
